Chemical-physical characterization of materials
The experimental work of our team is focused on determining the specific chemical-physical properties required for each specific material and some examples of tests and methods are:
-
mixing and processing of polymers, inorganic fillers and additives;
-
analysis of the flame retardant properties of materials (and finished products) with the application of both international standards and exploratory tests;
-
mechanical, rheological, thermal and spectroscopic characterization of materials;
-
determination of the electrical and dielectric properties of insulating polymers and semiconductors;
-
accelerated thermal aging of materials (with and without radiation);
-
evaluation of the resistance of materials to solvents, hydrocarbons (aliphatic and aromatic), aqueous solutions at low and high temperature;
-
morphological analysis thanks to optical and electronic microscopy (SEM).
